Best way to move web shop from Warp7 to Pro theme #4858
Hi

If I have a site/web shop running on a Warp 7 Yootheme today and would like to upgrade to a Pro theme, in what way would you recommend to do that? I understand a lot of work must be done with modules, module positions and a lot more with layout etc.

Where would you start? And how go on?

Cheers

The VM/shop part is quite easy to move. Its just a few module positions that needs to change. So in most cases there is not so much that needs to be done.
I think you should get familiar with the new Builder - install Yoothemes Quickstart and mess around with all the parts. Its a great way to create sites for product series - liek if you have a product that is unique for you and you want to create a cool page that really push that product. To take an extreme case: www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/gear-s3/

Maybe you special wallets could get a page like that...

Exactly. :) Recently bought the domain secridwallets.se for that purpose. (Not as a shop, but then links to it.

So basically, anyway, if I wan't to use e pro-theme for the shop later on too, I just move the VM-folders into the quickstart. (Do you mean the demo of f ex Fjord and then peal of all that is unnecessary stuff)? To start with.
I'll make a "trial and error tour"... in any case.

Thanks

Well Its always a pain to peal off everything from a Quickstart. But its a good start to learn functionality.

I would actually recommend you start with a plain Joomla nd then install a Yootheme PRO template and start from htere on the live project. You will get a cleaner porject like that.
