I have just purchased your software and have loaded it onto the Yootheme Avenue Template for Joomla 3 along with Virtumart 2.9.9
I am having so many problems
When I saw your example product layout her with the nice selector area (example: where you can select the size) click
I am trying to add selectors for options that the clients must choose from before adding to cart, but unfortunately I am having trouble with this. I first tried to add the custom field as the plugin VM Custom - Product Specification, but that did not work as it would not add to the product. I think tried to add the custom field as a child variant, however I am unable to give it any options. The selectors just come up blank.
when I add the custom field it comes up with this Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/ecofurn/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/models/customfields.php on line 818
Please will you assist in explaining me how to add selectors to the product and give me a clear step by step guide..
We are working on a update to Virtuemart 3 (2.9.9) .. We did some tests on the 2.9.9a version and it worked pretty well but there have been some changes with the latest 2.9.9e and we hav not had time to test thing thoroughly yet.
We are working on it and in beginning of next week (monday or tuesday) you can expect a new version om VMuikit 2.0 for Virtuemart 3 (2.9.9x).
We will put some effort on this in beginning of next week here. Its good that you can report error etc that you encounter. Testing for VM3 is actaully bigger than we and others thing. They have changed quite a lot under the hood.
I will update you here when new version is available.
Ok so we set Error Reporting to "None" in Joomla Global Configurations. That seem to fix your issue.
But you also seems to have a SEF problem. We needed to turn of SEF in Global configurations too there. We switched to Beez5 template nad you still had problems with SEF here so we are pretty sure its not a VMuikit issue.
Things are working now with SEF = Off and Error Reporting = None.
So you need to pinpoint your problem with the SEF.
If you want to get rid of that hover zoom thing on the products images on category page please add this to you templates custom.css in /css/ folder:
